Drivers must produce a full valid unendorsed driving licence at the commencement of rental that he/she has held for at least two years. Visitors from overseas must produce a driving licence issued in their country of permanent residence, along with a translation into English (where appropriate). UK residents will only be required to present the photo card driving license but may be asked to agree to provide access to their licence records as needed.
Drivers with 2 or more unspent driving convictions or one unspent driving conviction from the list below will not be eligible to rent.
The minimum age limit for drivers is 23 years. A fee of GBP £10 per day + VAT at 20% will apply to drivers under the age of 25 years. To rent a People Carrier (Group 10) the minimum age limit is 27. To rent a minibus (group 9) or a luxury car (group 12) the minimum age limit is 30. Minimum age restrictions may be reduced where renters provide their own fully comprehensive insurance cover, by prior arrangement only!
Budget Car Rental accepts Budget Charge Cards, and all major Credit Cards but not Debit Cards. Card holders must be present at time of pickup.
Budget Car Rental reserves the right to amend price structures without notice. Prices quoted at time of reservation however are guaranteed. Internet rates cannot be used in conjunction with any offline offers.
Customers wishing to extend their rental may contact our reservations department at email@example.com or +353 (0) 90 6627711 to confirm availability. Extra days will be charged based on the local rate at the time the extension is made.
For your convenience your car will be supplied with a full tank of fuel which you will be asked to pay for when picking up the car. If you return the car full you will be refunded the cost of the fuel.
If you need to cancel your car rental, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call our reservations department at +353 (0) 90 66 27711. If you cancel 48 hours prior to your pickup time there will be no charge. Cancellation after this time or if you do not pick up the car will incur a fee of GBP £20 inc. VAT . There is no charge for making booking amendments.

When you rent a vehicle with Budget, you automatically receive a basic level of roadside assistance included in your quote. Should you experience any mechanical difficulties with the vehicle, we will get you back on the road as quickly as possible.

If your rental vehicle is damaged during the rental period, this will cover the cost of repairs. You will, however, have to pay a fixed amount towards the repair costs. This is known as the excess (see Excess Charge for amounts).

At the time of rental you will have the option to purchase our Excess Reduction product, which lowers the excess amount you are liable for to ZERO, affording you complete peace of mind.

Excess Reduction provides peace of mind. The excess charge amounts that apply to Vehicle Damage Cover and Vehicle Theft Cover are reduced to zero, eliminating any financial liability in the event of vehicle theft or damage (excluding windscreen).

By taking Windscreen Cover, the excess payable on front windscreen damage is reduced to ZERO, removing all liability for any damage caused to the vehicle's windscreen glass.

You get extra peace of mind when you add Roadside Assistance Plus to your rental. You're instantly covered for common problems like flat batteries, locked-in keys, flat tyres or running out of fuel - and you don't pay any call out charges.

Available for purchase at the rental station upon pickup Personal Accident Insurance provides extensive benefits in case of injury / death.
Price: GBP £ 6.75 per day + VAT at 20%.
CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) and Theft Protection insurance reduce your financial liability for damage or theft of the vehicle and are included in your quote by default.
By declining these insurances you are taking responsibility to arrange your own cover and assume full financial liability up to the value of the vehicle for losses arising as a result of loss or damage to the vehicle. Written proof of CDW and Theft Protection coverage in Ireland will be required when picking up the vehicle.
We recommend that you fully understand the conditions of cover provided by your credit card company when using your card for insurance cover.
Customers declining CDW and Theft Protection are required to pay a liability deposit of GBP £2,000. An administration fee of GBP £25.00 + VAT at 20% applies for use of this service.
If you wish to drive the car into the Republic of Ireland your rental will be subject to a cross border coverage fee of £19.17 + VAT 20%.
Renters are responsible for payment of any speeding, parking or other traffic related fines in addition to a fine administration fee of GBP £36.00 including VAT
Budget have no mileage restrictions.
